I’m contacting you on behalf of the recently launched government campaign ‘Make it in Great Britain’, which aims to highlight the successes of British manufacturing and the importance of the industry to the UK economy.

The campaign was launched by Business Secretary Vince Cable and Business Minister Mark Prisk last month and will culminate in an exhibition at the Science Museum next summer which will show the very best of British manufacturing excellence.

We would love to speak to you about ways to possibly get involved with the campaign through your blog. As the campaign develops there will be lots of media assets, interview opportunities and ways to help us promote the campaign to an interested audience, but it would also be interesting to hear your thoughts on what collateral you would like to receive from us, which might appeal to your readers.

To start with we have some short interviews with various people who attended the launch event, including some of the apprentices from Ford, Heather Mayfield from the Science Museum and some of our first selected industry champions, William Butler-Adams from Brompton Bicycles and Stephen Blatchford from Chas A Blatchford.

Please find links below that you can use, or obviously you can embed them from YouTube if you’d prefer.

Heather Mayfield, Deputy Director – Science Museum

Stephen Blatchford, Chief Exec – Chas A Blatchford

Will Butler-Adams, Chief Engineer – Brompton Bicycles

Tim Holmes, Executive Director Communications and Public Affairs – Ford

    Lauren Bradford, Ford Engineer

    Richard Hunt, Ford Apprentice

    Perry Bignall, Ford Apprentice

I look forward to hearing from you with your thoughts or suggestions.

    Kind regards
    Carrie
